Jewellery Care
Fine jewellery is made to be worn. A little care keeps your diamonds bright and your gold beautiful for years.
Everyday wear
- Put jewellery on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray.
- Take it off for the gym, swimming, cleaning and gardening.
- Avoid chlorine and household chemicals, which can dull metal and loosen settings over time.
Cleaning your diamonds
Diamonds attract oils from skin and cosmetics, which hides their sparkle.
- Soak the piece for 15–20 minutes in warm water with a few drops of mild soap.
- Brush gently behind the stones with a soft toothbrush.
- Rinse in clean water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.
Caring for gold
- Polish with a soft jewellery cloth to restore shine.
- White gold is often rhodium-plated. Over time the plating can wear, and it can be refreshed by a jeweller.
- Rose gold may deepen slightly in tone with wear. This is natural.
Caring for 925 silver
- Silver tarnishes when exposed to air and moisture. Store it in a sealed pouch or box.
- Use a silver polishing cloth. Avoid abrasive pastes on pieces set with stones.
Storage
- Store each piece separately so diamonds do not scratch other jewellery.
- Fasten chains before storing so they do not tangle.
- Keep pieces in their Aarinya box when travelling.
Check-ups
Have rings and frequently worn pieces checked once a year for loose stones or worn prongs. If something feels loose, stop wearing the piece and contact us.
